Photo – flattering but realistic
Although your photo is not the decisive factor in achieving success or failure in online dating, it is still a very important one. Make yourself sure that you upload a photo that is both professional and clear. You don’t have to make do with only a basic head shot, you can easily opt for a photo that shows you involved in some activity that you enjoy. As a matter of fact, you objective should be to make the photo memorable and to avoid it being too trite. Just look at how many people post photos of them in company of their dogs or other pets. Be unique and creative!
One more important thing, surely you want your photo to show you as an attractive person, but remember that although flattering your photo must also be realistic. If you have gained some weight recently, go for a more recent photo. Similarly with regards to age, never post a photo that is 5 years old or more. If you use unrealistic photographs it will only guarantee you serious disappointment in the future.
